Frequently asked questions

RA3 is Lutron's wireless whole-home lighting control system. Its wireless design adapts easily to new or existing homes with no major remodelling, which makes it our go-to for most projects. For larger properties or fully integrated schemes we also design and install Lutron HomeWorks — we'll recommend the right system honestly, based on your home and budget.

Most of our installations are retrofits. Lutron's wireless dimmers, switches and keypads replace your existing accessories, so there's no need to chase walls or lift floors. If you're renovating or extending anyway, we can wire the scheme in from the start — we'll advise which approach suits your home.

Yes. The systems we install work seamlessly with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa and Google Home, so you can control lights by voice or from your phone — at home or away.

Usually, yes. Most modern LED fittings dim beautifully on Lutron controls, but some cheaper lamps flicker or buzz at low levels. We check compatibility as part of the design and will tell you plainly if any fittings are worth swapping.

Your lights carry on as normal. Keypads, dimmers and scenes run locally within your home, so an internet outage only affects remote control from outside the house — everything at the switch still works.

Yes — that's where it really shines. Lighting can share scenes with automated blinds, dim for movie night in your cinema room, and work alongside your security system with away modes that make the house look lived-in.
